Sans Serif Must-Haves

1. Futura: Paul Renner nailed it back in 1927 with Futura, a geometric masterpiece that's become a cornerstone in design. It's minimalistic, versatile, and perfect for everything—from body copy to headlines and logos. In short, if you’re seeking a no-nonsense workhorse, Futura is the way to go.

2. Founder's Grotesk: Brought to you by Klim Type Foundry, this is a modernized grotesque design that takes nods from classics like Helvetica. Perfect for brands aiming to blend heritage with modern sensibility.

3. Space Grotesk: Designed in 2018 by Florian Karsten, this is the typeface of the future—literally. With its sci-fi aura and highly legible forms, Space Grotesque gives a brand that edgy, space-age vibe. Think of it as the Millennial Falcon of fonts.

4. Lexend: Designed for readability, this font screams "innovation". With its rounded geometric shapes, Lexend is ideal for brands or software with heavy text content.

Serifs that Speak Volumes

5. Financier: Crafted by Klim Type Foundry for the Financial Times, Financier was made for newspapers. Its sharp, elegant serifs make this the go-to typeface for brands aiming for a timeless, heritage look.

6. Georgia: Matthew Carter's 1996 masterpiece is the kingpin of on-screen serif fonts. Its increased x-height makes it a perfect choice for digital designers who want that classic serif touch.

7. Lora: Designed in 2011 by Cyreal, Lora is a free font on Google Fonts that features well-balanced contemporary serifs, with letterforms rooted in calligraphy. It is a text typeface with moderate contrast well suited for body text that needs to feel elegant.

Display Faces that Dazzle

8. Playfair Display: If 'classy' and 'modern' had a font baby, it would be Playfair Display. Its tall characters and distinctive forms make it ideal for headlines and logo types.

9. Dharma Gothic: For those looking to add some urban flair to their layouts, look no further. Dharma Gothic, designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa, is bold and grungy, making it ideal for modern brands with a street edge.

10. Phonk: This playful and funky design by Slava Antipov is not for the faint of heart. With its bold forms, it's a go-to for posters and other creative applications where you want your text to scream, not just speak.
